Aksel Ceylan is a multidisciplinary graphic designer and creative director based in New York City.

He studied graphic design at Accademia Italiana in Florence and Marmara University in Istanbul.

In 2009, he began his professional career, building a design approach focused on purpose-driven insights and strong visual communication across advertising and branding.

He started at independent design studios, building a strong foundation in graphic design, before moving on to leading global network agencies such as J. Walter Thompson and Publicis in Istanbul, where he expanded his expertise in advertising, communication, and art direction. In 2018, after nearly a decade of industry experience, he moved to the United States upon receiving an offer to collaborate with world-renowned designer Peter Arnell.

Following this collaboration, he served as a creative director for SHVO, leading major rebranding efforts for their expanding luxury real estate and hospitality portfolio — a partnership that continues today. He later broadened his experience at Lipman Studio, founded by legendary creative director David Lipman.

Throughout his career, Aksel’s work has been recognized with nearly a hundred national and international awards, honoring both creative excellence and strategic impact.

Today, he leads +Stüdyo, the independent design office he co-founded in 2022 with Kaan Duygu, dedicated to building thoughtful, culturally resonant brand identities, visual narratives, and creative platforms for a global audience.

He believes that great design connects intellect, emotion, and meaning — creating stories that endure.
