Les Lalanne at The Raleigh Gardens
Honoring the late French artist Claude Lalanne, and her husband and collaborator François-Xavier Lalanne, "Les Lalanne at the Raleigh Gardens" is a temporary public art installation presented in the famed gardens of The Raleigh Hotel, one of Miami Beach’s most celebrated Art Deco properties, open to visit from November 24, 2019 to February 29, 2020. Animating a half-acre of the renowned Raleigh site and boardwalk, 40 pieces of art work, with over 60 million dollars worth are being displayed. This public tribute to the late French artists is being presented by real estate developer Michael Shvo, and the garden was designed by the exceptional talent-pairing of architect and Lalanne collector, Peter Marino, with Miami landscape designer, Raymond Jungles. The garden welcomed nearly 10.000 visitors in the opening week, including world renowned artist Chuck Close, and famous fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger among many others. Taking inspiration from the characteristics of Les Lalanne’s work, I proposed a memorable illustrative approach as the main branding element to be used in signage and across collateral, including promotional materials.
