Okuma Zamanı is an educational board game designed to support children’s reading skills by transforming a demanding learning process into play. Rather than positioning reading as a task to be completed, the game introduces it through interaction, curiosity, and shared discovery.

The visual language is built around the idea of a journey through time. Illustrations and graphic elements reference significant moments and structures from human history, such as Göbeklitepe and ancient pyramids, framing reading as a way of traveling across knowledge, stories, and civilizations. Design decisions consistently prioritize clarity and accessibility for young readers. The typographic system is based on Fredoka, a rounded and highly legible typeface whose open forms support fluent reading. Color, illustration, and composition work together to guide attention without overwhelming the experience, maintaining a balance between structure and play. The identity extends across all physical components of the game, including the box, cards, and printed materials. Each element is designed as an active part of the gameplay, reinforcing learning through repetition, interaction, and visual continuity.

Okuma Zamanı does not attempt to teach reading directly. Instead, it aims to reduce resistance, making reading feel approachable, engaging, and enjoyable through the logic of play.
